Technopolis City of Athens has become a hub of scientific and cultural events within one of the city’s most important industrial monuments, thus upgrading a historical area of the capital and creating another focal point in the cultural identity of Athens. Every year, a wide variety of events are held in Technopolis: educational programmes, seminars, exhibitions, as well as initiatives for the development of entrepreneurship and the promotion of innovation.

The ground floor houses the Amphitheatre (Gasholder 1), an ideal venue for theater performances and concerts, lectures, seminars, book presentations, etc.
This two-level, multi-use hall is ideal for hosting seminars and conferences. The “Purifier” building is where coal gas was purified from hydrogen sulphide. The building housed 18 purifying tanks filled with a special soil which withheld sulphide compounds. As coal gas passed through the soil it was purified from hydrogen sulphide.
This is the largest indoor venue in Technopolis City of Athens and it is a multi-use space available for exhibitions, conferences, etc.
